Ian Rubert is one of the brightest emerging talents in British house music – an award-winning, dedicated DJ/Producer who combines technical expertise, deep musical awareness and Liverpudlian likability.

His studio recordings and DJ sets are creative and compelling: the products of over 15 years of experience behind the decks and an upbringing on the dance floors or Cream, Circus and Sankeys.

In 2012 Ian won the Bedrock Records & MixCloud DJ competition and performed in the Bedrock Arena at the SW4 Festival in London alongside some of the biggest names in dance music including Guy Gerber, Joris Voorn, Jozif, Robert Babicz and John Digweed.

Ian's winning mix was handpicked from thousands of entries by John Digweed himself, and was described by John as a fluid mix seamlessly put together.

In 2013 Ian wrote and recorded a series of darkly melodic deep house tracks, which received acclaim and interest from various labels.

They include the keenly awaited forthcoming release on DIG it Recordings, Time for Stoppage as well a two-track EP with the cutting-edge Malaysian outfit, Pure Substance. Ian signed an EP and remixes for Swordtail Records in 2010.
